Mr Chawla was very patient, kind & listened to me. He explained everything to me including what treatment he would carry out to rectify the problem. I was given an appointment on departure and on the day of my procedure his nurse Jenny was excellent, putting me at my ease and explaining what would happen in a very calm and professional way, even holding my hand whilst the procedure was carried out. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent treatment I received at the Westland Medical Centre, Hornchurch, starting with the reception staff, the nursing staff (Jenny) and Mr Chawla including my follow-up appointment. I would thoroughly recommend them.

A very kind caring man..listens to you and any problems you may have. Positive in answers and advice... A brilliant surgeon. Explains any treatment you may need in easy to understand terms.. I would recommend treatment with Mr Chawla 100% .

I saw Mr Chawla at Westlands Medical Centre he was brilliant with a very nervous 71 year old have to lumps removed from eye lids, talked to me all the way through the op to reassure me ...

Mr J S Chawla is an experienced consultant eye surgeon specialising in Lens replacement surgery, multifocal, toric and piggyback lens implants, and complex cataract surgery. He has extensive experience in Oculoplastic surgery including correction of malposition of eyelids,ptosis, blepharoplasty, brow lift, removal of lesions around eyes with radio-frequency surgery, blocked tear ducts and botulinum toxin therapy for hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm.
Other areas of expertise include Glaucoma management, treatment of dry eyes, blepharitis and Argon and Yag laser procedures.
